SkinScreener, skin cancer early detection made easy

SkinScreener is a mobile, smartphone-based medical device developed in Austria for the identification of malignant skin lesions. A fast, accurate and reliable way to determine your personal risk of skin lesions (moles, skin spots) with an app.

The app recognizes indications of preliminary-stage cancer such as actinic keratosis and dysplastic nevi, as well as structural elements of malignant lesions such as squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, basalioma, and Bowen’s disease.

SkinScreener works directly with the camera of the smartphone, without the need to install additional hardware. The risk assessment for skin cancer is indicated by an easy-to-understand 3-color code.

Early detection of skin cancer plays a key role and substantially improves the chances of cure.

SkinScreener is a life saver. If it wasn’t for the app to get my leg checked, I probably would have never found out - because of the small dot - that I had skin cancer or when it was too late.
